Here are the head swops for the Guard and also two kneeling down chaps

28mm Bavarians and FPW cavalry

we should have the cavalry finished this side of Christmas, as well as the Bavarian Command - we are going to do an extra musician (basically because I want a drummer).

The plan is:

Complete the French cavalry for Dragoons and Cuirassiers
Complete three packs of Bavarians, including command and one pack of light troops
Complete one extra pack for French Line, Guard and Zouave, then look at light troops.
Complete mounted command

This will take us up to Easter - still a long way to go to get the range that I want

Franco Prussian War Project

We are attending the Plymouth wargames show in Devon in early February, we are going to put on a demonstration game using our Franco Prussian War range - by then, we will have our first two French cavalry regiments, Dragoons and Cuirassier, plus command for the Bavarians and also our first Prussians.
I will add photos of the regiments as we get them painted.

Just an update, at present we are expanding our Bavarians, head swopping the Guard to bonnet de police and working on the Prussians - alongside this, we will start our first French Cavalry. This should be c]done by the end of November

Painted Bavarians and Prussian

I am in the process of painting some figures up which I will post on the site over the next couple of days.
I am just in the process of getting a bugle player and kneeling figure for the Bavarians and also a kneeling figure for the Prussian.
Also, standard bearers as officers for the French and head swops for the Guard for bonnet de police.
I am also going to start on the French cavalry- if anyone has any good reference material for the cavalry I would appreciate it.

Franco Prussian War Bavarians and Prussians

Sorry for the delay on posts - we have been quite busy - below are 'greens' of our new Bavarians and Prussians, plus a 'steam punk' lady - only because she was on the same photo.
We are currently doing the command for the Bavarians and will start on our cavalry this month as well

Colours - 28mm Franco Prussian War Figures

I will be attending the Colours show in September, I will have the French available to buy and also the 'greens' for the Prussians and Bavarians

We are just working on our first pack of Bavarians, which should be out for Colours, also, we are starting our Prussian range - we may have a few figures at Colours if people would like to see.

Hello, sorry i Have been off line for a while, been busy trying to get some figures finished for Colours, below are some pictures of the packs we will be selling. These will be £5 each, available through our website, but also through Colonel Bill.

28mm Franco Prussian Bavarians

I have started to expand the range by looking into producing Bavarians - I will have my first pack by Colours in September - basically, I will do 4/5 infantry plus command to start, then the same for the Werttemberg, and then look at the Prussians. Once I have done the 'basics', I will then go back to each range to add more.

Below are new photos of my figures - at present I only have one command figure

French - Franco Prussian

below are two photos of Guard and Zouaves, I will do some better ones later - at present we are getting command done for the Guard, Zouaves and Line

so, the figures finally arrived, I will paint some up and put on the blog over the next few days - received the 'greens' back, now will change some of the poses to make into command. This will mean that people can use the figures in units, also, the next 'batch' of figures will be to turn the Guard with bearskins into Guard with bonnet de police and the Turcos into Zouaves, this should then give a good cross section of figures for people.
After Colours - September - we will look into the Prussians, will start with a couple of different poses and command for Prussia and Her allies. Quite an exciting time really:)

Just an update - posted the 'greens' of al of the figures so far. These have now been sent off to the casters and should be back within the week - hopefully. I will get some painted and put on here by the beginning of July.
I will post out samples if anyone is interested.
The next phase will be to get the command done, then do head swops to turn the Guard into Guard with bonnet de police, and the Turcos into Zouaves - this should all be done by the end of September. After that, we will be looking at producing Prussian, Bavarian and Wurttemberger line and command, then go back to the French to do the Cavalry, then back to the Prussians. The range will take a while to complete.
We are looking at selling the figures at £1.25 each, 4 for £5, or a regiment of 24 for £28 - all will be available through the website, or Colonel Bill at the shows.
If there is anyone reading this that would like to stock any of this or our other ranges, then please just drop us a line.
I will endeavour to put up any new 'greens' and then their painted equivalents.

I have received the 'greens' and will send them off to the casters on Monday, it will probably take just over a week to get the casts back - if anyone would like a sample, please email through the website - www.heroesofthedarkage.com - the figures will be available through us for mail order and a few 'local' shows to us, but will also be available through Colonel Bill, who attend most wargame shows in the UK.
If there are any companies in the States or Europe who would like to stock the range, please email me as well.

I have received my first 10 figures back from the casters, you can see them on my website: www.heroesofthedarkage.com - I have written about them on TMP and have received various feedback comments about the range and also about what other figures I could add. Below are the latest figures.
Once they come back from the caster, if anyone would like a sample, just email me and I will pop on in the post.
The next figures I will be doing will be command for the three units, and a couple of others, then I will look at doing some basic Prussian Line.
